Home Education Regulation Update

AHEA has maintained contact with the Ministry of Education, and there still is no draft of the Home Education Regulation to be reviewed.  AHEA continues to make requests to review a draft, but expects that one will not be made available until after the PC Leadership Vote has been concluded.  It is therefore very important that Alberta's new Premier is supportive of home education.

Carole Cardinal said the pooling of data banks does not bode well for families who are compelled to school their children at home “under the radar” because school boards refuse to work with them. "
