The 2017 AHEA Convention went well!

After months of planning and preparation, the 2017 Alberta Home Education Association Convention in Red Deer on April 6 - 8, everything went really well.

THANKS so much to all of our volunteers! More than 2250 people attended the 2017 Convention! *Please mark your calendars for April 12 -14, 2018 and plan to attend!

There has been a lot of positive feedback on the Alberta Home Education Association Facebook Page. (If you want to join that, click the Facebook Button on the left side of this page AND watch for a private message from the moderator. It must be answered before you will be added to the page. There are over 2000 members on the AHEA Page on Facebook - and there is a LOT of encouragement, inspiration and posts with questions (and answers) about Home Education shared!)

Below are some pictures of the convention:

Home School Day at heritage Park in Calgary - Sept. 20, 2013

August 26, 2013

Dear Homeschool Group or Association;

We would like to invite you and the members of your homeschool association to Heritage Park Historical Village for Homeschooler Day, September 20, 2013....

Back by popular demand, our Homeschooler Day offers a rich variety of school programming in the unique setting of Heritage Park’s Gasoline Alley Transportation Museum. Curriculum based programs offer students from Kindergarten up through Grade 12 a chance to explore and discover history, social studies, geography, and science.

All programs for this day are based in Gasoline Alley, located on the Engineered Air Plaza, close to parking lots A and B. The day’s activities will run from 9:30 am to 3:00 pm, although it is possible to come for only a morning or afternoon session. Lunch will be held from 12 noon to 12:45 pm. (All listed times are approximations and are subject to change.)

We hope you and the other families from your home school group will be able to attend this fun and specialized day of school programming. To learn more about this great field trip opportunity or to register your children, please visit our Website at www.heritagepark.ca.

Thank you for your consideration, and we hope to see you and your fellow homeschoolers here on September 20th!

Sincerely yours,

Alan Macdonald
